Responsibility
- Develop and implement global category strategies for machining components to drive cost savings, quality improvements, and supplier performance.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFI/RFP management, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business needs and innovation goals.
- Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and technological advancements in machining to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by sourcing environmentally responsible materials and processes.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for supply chain disruptions.
- Provide data-driven insights and reports to senior management on category performance and savings achievements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CIPS/CSCP certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, with a focus on machining or manufacturing.
- Proven track record in negotiating contracts, managing global suppliers, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a multinational or matrix organization with cross-cultural teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
