Adecco is currently partnering with a leading organization in the Central Region to recruit a Geotechnical Data Engineer. This is a critical role focused on the digital transformation of geotechnical monitoring and soil mechanics analysis.
In this position, you will bridge the gap between field geotechnical data and actionable engineering insights. You will manage complex datasets from instrumentation, soil investigations, and structural health monitoring systems, ensuring the integrity and safety of large-scale civil infrastructure projects. We are looking for an analytical thinker who can translate raw telemetry into meaningful engineering reports, supporting project stability and operational efficiency.

Responsibility
- Manage and process large-scale geotechnical datasets from field sensors, inclinometers, and piezometers.
- Develop and maintain automated scripts for real-time data ingestion and monitoring of geotechnical health.
- Conduct rigorous quality control on data outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency with engineering standards.
- Collaborate with onsite engineers to troubleshoot data collection hardware and improve sensor performance.
- Generate comprehensive analytical reports for project stakeholders, highlighting safety trends and risk factors.
- Utilize spatial and database software to visualize geotechnical conditions and soil strata profiles.
- Support the implementation of digital twin technology for civil infrastructure assets.
Qualifications
- Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical data processing or civil infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Hands-on experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and database management (SQL).
- Strong understanding of geotechnical instrumentation, soil mechanics, and monitoring methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
