Responsibility
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to ISO 17025, HACCP, and other international food safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of scientists, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities, expanding client relationships, and enhancing service offerings.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food testing results, maintaining the highest levels of quality and compliance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve laboratory efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
- Manage laboratory budgets, resources, and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in food safety and testing to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a food testing laboratory, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025, HACCP, FDA, and other international food safety standards.
- Strong business acumen with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and modern analytical techniques.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia, and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
