Responsibility
- Supervise and mentor a team of fund accountants, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and review of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, financial statements, and investor reports for Fund of Funds structures.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex accounting issues and provide strategic insights.
- Streamline fund accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and manage fund expenses, fees, and allocations, ensuring alignment with fund agreements.
- Prepare and present performance reports, variance analyses, and ad-hoc financial data to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in fund accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACCA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in Fund of Funds (FoF) accounting, including multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency funds.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations applicable to investment funds.
- Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Advent Geneva, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage high-pressure deadlines.
- Experience working in a global financial services environment is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
