Responsibility
- Supervise and mentor a team of fund accountants to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of net asset value (NAV) calculations, financial statements, and investor reports.
- Review and validate fund accounting entries, reconciliations, and adjustments for compliance and accuracy.
- Liaise with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor workflows and deadlines to optimize team productivity and service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting fund services.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and fund accounting principles for hedge funds, private equity, or mutual funds.
- Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, Advent Geneva) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a client-focused approach.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, UCITS, AIFMD) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
