Responsibility
- Conduct periodic KYC/CDD (Know Your Customer/Customer Due Diligence) reviews for corporate and individual clients, ensuring adherence to AML regulations.
- Analyze client documentation, transaction patterns, and risk profiles to detect and report suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather additional information and resolve discrepancies in client data.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and assess changes in regulatory requirements, updating internal policies and procedures accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of all reviews and investigations in compliance with audit standards.
- Provide guidance to junior team members on AML best practices and review methodologies.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulators during inspections or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AML, KYC, or compliance roles within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing) frameworks and international regulations (e.g., FATF, MAS).
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and identify high-risk indicators.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise reports.
- Proficiency in AML software tools (e.g., LexisNexis, Refinitiv) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
