Responsibility
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries, and provide expert advice on pet care, products, and services to enhance their shopping experience.
- Pet Care & Handling: Ensure the well-being of small animals in-store, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring their health under supervision.
- Sales & Upselling: Drive sales by recommending suitable products, promotions, and loyalty programs to meet customer needs and achieve store targets.
- Cashier Operations: Process transactions accurately, handle cash, and manage POS systems while maintaining a friendly and efficient checkout experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock replenishment, organize merchandise, conduct regular stock checks, and report discrepancies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing by performing housekeeping duties, restocking shelves, and setting up displays.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to support store operations, participate in team meetings, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Community Engagement: Represent Pet Lovers Centre at local events, build relationships with customers, and promote responsible pet ownership within the community.
Qualifications
- Passion for Pets: Genuine love for animals and a desire to learn about pet care, nutrition, and well-being.
- Customer Service Skills: Proven experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing roles, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic Animal Handling: Comfortable interacting with small animals (e.g., dogs, cats, birds, fish) and willing to learn proper handling techniques.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights (up to 10kg), and performing light housekeeping duties.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining consistent attendance and performance.
- Tech-Savviness: Basic proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management tools is advantageous.
