Responsibility
- Design and deliver structured, age-appropriate Mandarin Chinese lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Develop interactive and engaging teaching materials to enhance student participation and retention.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, quizzes, and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages cultural appreciation and language acquisition.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and address individual learning needs.
- Incorporate multimedia tools, games, and real-life scenarios to make lessons dynamic and relatable.
- Participate in school events, workshops, and professional development to stay updated with best practices in language teaching.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese with excellent English communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Certification in teaching Mandarin as a foreign language (e.g., HSK, TCSOL, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to create lesson plans, adapt to diverse learning styles, and manage classroom dynamics effectively.
- Passion for cultural exchange and a commitment to fostering a love for the Chinese language and culture.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and platforms is an advantage.
