Responsibility
- Sort, inspect, and pack fresh fruits according to quality standards and customer specifications.
- Operate packaging machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Meet daily packing targets while ensuring accuracy and minimal waste.
- Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, including lifting and moving boxes (up to 20 kg).
- Record production data, such as quantities packed and any defects identified.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline packing processes and improve efficiency.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (e.g., gloves, aprons).
Qualifications
- Proven experience in packing, manufacturing, or warehouse environments (preferred but not mandatory).
- Ability to work early shifts (transport allowance provided for nearby residents).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Keen attention to detail to identify and remove defective or substandard produce.
- Basic numeracy skills for tracking inventory and production metrics.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a plus for managerial consideration.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, email) are advantageous for supervisory roles.
