Responsibility
- Coordinate and optimize inbound/outbound freight shipments for hyperscale data center projects, ensuring on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers to secure the best terms for the company.
- Monitor and track shipments in real-time, resolving delays or issues proactively to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs documentation, and trade laws (e.g., Incoterms, HS codes).
- Develop and maintain KPIs and performance metrics for logistics operations, including transit times, cost savings, and service levels.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
- Implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, such as route optimization or consolidation strategies.
- Prepare and present logistics reports for stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in tech or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping modes (air, sea, road) and customs clearance procedures.
- Proven ability to negotiate with carriers and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or TMS platforms) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to handle time-sensitive shipments and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Incoterms 2020 and experience preparing commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
