Responsibility
- Direct and optimize daily freight and logistics operations to ensure timely delivery and operational excellence.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), freight forwarders, and transport vendors to ensure competitive pricing and performance.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that reduce lead times and operational costs.
- Ensure full compliance with local transportation regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Oversee warehouse inventory management systems and logistics documentation to maintain accurate reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of logistics staff to achieve high productivity and professional development.
- Analyze logistics data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in freight management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of local logistics networks and transport regulations in Johor/Malaysia.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze logistics costs, and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Proficiency in ERP software, WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
