Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations, including air, sea, and land shipments.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists) to ensure compliance with customs and international trade laws.
- Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to optimize routing, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Monitor shipment statuses, track delays, and proactively resolve issues to minimize disruptions.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with vendors, carriers, and service providers to secure cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and inventory using logistics software and ERP systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, and regulatory standards (e.g., IATA, IMDG, ISPS).
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and delivering real-time updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- In-depth knowledge of incoterms, customs clearance, and international shipping regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., CargoWise, FreightOS, SAP TM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Certifications such as FIATA, CSCP, or CLTD are highly advantageous.
