As a tutor, you’ll deliver engaging Basic English to TOEFL Preparation classes in a supportive, on-site setting. Whether you’re helping beginners build confidence or guiding advanced learners toward test success, your role will be pivotal in shaping students’ language journeys. Responsibility
- Conduct on-site English classes for students of varying proficiency levels (Basic to TOEFL Prep).
- Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual or group learning needs.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, mock tests, and feedback sessions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Create an engaging and interactive classroom environment using modern teaching methodologies.
- Provide personalized guidance to students preparing for TOEFL or other standardized English tests.
- Collaborate with the English Cafe team to align with curriculum standards and teaching best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Stay updated on teaching trends and resources to enhance lesson effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English (native or near-native proficiency) with excellent communication skills.
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in teaching English, preferably in a classroom or tutoring setting.
- Strong understanding of English grammar, vocabulary, and test-prep strategies (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.).
- Ability to adapt teaching styles to accommodate diverse learning needs and age groups (19–40 years).
- TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Passion for education and student success, with a patient and encouraging approach.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent schedule (on-site in Bali).
- Familiarity with Bali’s expat and local communities is an advantage.
