Responsibility
- Lead the development and implementation of academic policies, curricula, and assessment frameworks aligned with GIGSâs Islamic and green education philosophy.
- Oversee teacher recruitment, training, and professional development to ensure high-quality instruction and staff retention.
- Monitor and enhance student performance, well-being, and disciplinary systems to foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Principal to set strategic goals, budgets, and resource allocation for academic programs.
- Represent the school in parent-teacher associations, community events, and accreditation processes.
- Drive innovative teaching methodologies, including technology integration and project-based learning.
- Ensure compliance with national and international education standards (e.g., Cambridge, IB, or local regulations).
- Promote a culture of inclusivity, sustainability, and Islamic values across all school activities.
Qualifications
- Masterâs degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in school leadership (e.g., Vice Principal, Academic Coordinator, or Department Head).
- Proven track record in curriculum development, teacher mentorship, and school improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Islamic education principles and their integration with modern pedagogy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Experience working in international or multicultural schools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices in education (e.g., eco-friendly campuses, green curricula).
- Commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth in educational leadership.
