Responsibility
- Assist in providing prompt, efficient, and courteous food and beverage service to guests in accordance with hotel standards and under the supervision of the F&B Captain.
- Set up and maintain dining areas, including tables, chairs, and decor, to ensure a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests.
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to guest preferences and dietary requirements.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth communication and seamless service during peak hours and special events.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking supplies, monitoring usage, and reporting shortages to the F&B Captain.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all F&B service areas, including dining spaces, service stations, and back-of-house areas.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings, training sessions, and team meetings to stay updated on menu changes, promotions, and service protocols.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or food and beverage industry, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including table setup, order taking, and service etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively during peak service hours.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the hotel’s operational needs.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian) are a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and move quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Certification in food safety or hospitality training (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP) is advantageous but not mandatory.
