Responsibility
- Provide warm, attentive, and personalized service to guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring a seamless dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, including special requests and dietary restrictions, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen.
- Serve dishes and beverages with precision and elegance, adhering to presentation standards and timing.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings to offer expert recommendations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely service and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
- Uphold impeccable grooming and professionalism, reflecting Shangri-La’s luxury brand standards.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the dining area, including table arrangements, silverware, and glassware.
- Handle payment processing accurately and discreetly, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality (preferably in a 5-star hotel or luxury restaurant).
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and gourmet cuisine is highly advantageous.
- Professional appearance with a polished and confident demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
