Responsibility
- Manage and process student loan applications, disbursements, and repayments in compliance with university and regulatory guidelines.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of student income-related financial data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial policies related to student loans and income management.
- Prepare and present financial reports for senior management, highlighting key trends and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and university standards in all financial transactions.
- Provide financial counseling and support to students regarding loan options, repayment plans, and financial literacy.
- Monitor and reconcile financial accounts related to student loans and income, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting of financial resources for student loan programs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role, preferably in an educational institution or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, loan management, and income tracking in Malaysia.
- Proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and senior management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with student financial aid programs and loan servicing is highly desirable.
