Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in compliance with industry standards.
- Perform audit checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and reconcile accounting records, including general ledger entries and financial statements.
- Oversee vessel-related documentation, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and filed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenue to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit roles, preferably in the maritime or logistics industry.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with vessel management or shipping industry financial processes is highly advantageous.
