Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze production yield, defect rates, and quality metrics to identify trends and root causes of failures.
- Conduct thorough failure analysis using tools such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), 8D Problem Solving, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to mitigate defects and improve process reliability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and enhance product design.
- Generate detailed reports and presentations on failure analysis findings, recommendations, and improvement strategies.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analytics tools to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Support the development and validation of test protocols to ensure product durability and compliance with industry standards.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in failure analysis and quality engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in failure analysis, quality engineering, or manufacturing process improvement.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA) tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, 5 Whys, and Pareto Analysis.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar standards.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical software (Minitab, JMP, or Python/R) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with semiconductor, electronics, or precision manufacturing industries is highly desirable.
- Certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing, or Reliability Engineering are advantageous.
