Responsibility
- Assist in the daily maintenance and upkeep of laboratory facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant working environment.
- Perform routine calibration, validation, and testing of laboratory equipment to meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Support facility-related compliance activities, including documentation, audits, and adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Coordinate with internal teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor and manage inventory of facility supplies, ensuring timely restocking and cost-effective procurement.
- Assist in the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols within the facility.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and escalate complex problems to senior staff or external vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration logs, and compliance reports.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in facility maintenance, laboratory operations, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with calibration, validation, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, GLP) is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic facility management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
