job description
Join a dynamic team as a Facade BIM Modeler (Revit) and play a pivotal role in transforming architectural visions into precise, data-rich 3D models. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from the vibrant locations of Bali, Indonesia, including Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, and more.
As a Facade BIM Modeler, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) specifically for facade systems. Your expertise in Revit and deep understanding of facade design principles will ensure seamless coordination, clash detection, and accurate documentation, driving efficiency and innovation in construction projects.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented professional passionate about BIM technology and facade engineering to contribute to high-impact projects while enjoying the work-life balance of Bali’s inspiring environment.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for facade systems using Autodesk Revit, ensuring accuracy and alignment with architectural and engineering designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, structural engineers, and contractors, to integrate facade models into overall project BIM.
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues between facade systems and other building components (e.g., MEP, structural).
- Generate and update shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation from BIM models for facade installation.
- Implement BIM execution plans (BEP) and adhere to industry standards (e.g., AIA, ISO 19650) for facade modeling.
- Optimize facade designs for constructability, cost-efficiency, and performance using BIM tools and simulations.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and material estimations from BIM models to support procurement and cost control.
- Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies and facade innovation trends to enhance modeling efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A background in facade engineering is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modeling for facades using Autodesk Revit (experience with other tools like Rhino, Grasshopper, or Tekla is advantageous).
- Proven expertise in facade systems, including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, and structural glass.
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows, LOD (Level of Development), and model coordination processes.
- Proficiency in Navisworks, Solibri, or similar clash detection software for model validation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with global teams.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a stable internet connection and self-discipline.
