Responsibility
- Prepare ingredients and meals according to recipes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and chefâs instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining cleanliness in the workspace.
- Support the culinary team in inventory management, including stock rotation, storage, and minimizing food waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times, adhering to local regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient service, especially during peak hours.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
- Contribute to a positive work culture by fostering teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among colleagues.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or F&B industry (fresh graduates with relevant internships or training are welcome to apply).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and culinary terminology.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in hot or humid conditions.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by the business.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali (if currently based outside the island) and adapt to the local work culture.
