In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, optimizing supply chain processes, and facilitating the smooth movement of goods across borders. Responsibility
- Manage and process all export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and free trade agreements (FTAs).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to facilitate timely and cost-effective logistics.
- Classify products according to Harmonized System (HS) codes and determine applicable duties and taxes.
- Monitor and resolve any customs or trade compliance issues, including audits or disputes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Optimize supply chain processes to reduce lead times and minimize costs.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on export-import activities, trade metrics, and compliance status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in export-import operations, customs compliance, or global logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian and international trade regulations, including customs procedures and documentation.
- Proficiency in HS code classification and familiarity with Incoterms 2020.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Indonesian.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
