Responsibility
- Provide attentive, professional, and personalized service to guests in a high-volume, luxury hospitality setting.
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring adherence to restaurant standards and guest preferences.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and seamless delivery of orders, maintaining open communication at all times.
- Anticipate guest needs, offering recommendations and upselling premium menu items to enhance their dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with diplomacy, ensuring resolution to the highest standard of satisfaction.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary restrictions, to provide informed recommendations.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and compliance with local regulations.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down dining areas, ensuring tables, utensils, and décor are presented to the highest standard.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and team briefings to stay updated on promotions, menu changes, and service standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a waiter in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or resort, preferably in a luxury or international setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests in a warm, professional manner.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine pairings, cocktail preparation, and fine dining etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hospitality industry.
- Basic proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian, French) are a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and navigate busy dining areas with ease.
- Certification in food safety or hospitality training (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP) is advantageous but not required.
- Positive attitude, team-player mentality, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
