Responsibility
- Prepare, assemble, and inspect rigging equipment, including slings, chains, hooks, and hoists, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Secure heavy loads using appropriate rigging techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
- Collaborate with crane operators and ground crews to execute lifting operations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-lift inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate records of rigging activities, equipment inspections, and maintenance logs.
- Follow all company and regulatory safety protocols to ensure a zero-incident work environment.
- Assist in the training of junior team members on proper rigging procedures and safety measures.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Rigger in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
- Certification in rigging and lifting operations (e.g., OSHA, CCO, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment, load calculations, and safety regulations.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with crane operators and ground crews.
- Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, load charts, and safety manuals.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as project demands require.
