Responsibility
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using standardized techniques for patients of all ages.
- Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately to ensure proper tracking and testing.
- Adhere to strict infection control and biosafety protocols to maintain a sterile working environment.
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment, including centrifuges and blood collection devices.
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care to minimize discomfort and complications.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of specimens.
- Document all procedures and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Handle high-volume collections efficiently while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in phlebotomy, preferably in hospitals or diagnostic labs.
- Proven expertise in venipuncture, finger sticks, and handling difficult draws.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and laboratory safety standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to calm anxious patients and provide clear instructions.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Willingness to travel between assigned locations in Bali as needed.
