Responsibility
- Assist orthopedic surgeons during procedures, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and arthroscopic surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre, including sterilization of instruments, equipment setup, and ensuring all supplies are readily available for procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia administration during surgery, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the surgical team.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, wound management, and pain assessment to ensure optimal recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and inventory management.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of post-operative complications and ensure a safe surgical environment.
- Participate in continuous professional development, including training on new surgical techniques, equipment, and best practices in orthopedic care.
- Support emergency orthopedic procedures as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in Indonesia or eligibility for registration in Indonesia.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as an Operating Theatre Nurse, with a focus on orthopedic procedures preferred.
- Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgical techniques, instruments, and equipment, including familiarity with joint replacements and fracture management.
- Excellent understanding of sterile techniques, infection control, and patient safety protocols in the operating theatre.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and precision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
