Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, refractive errors, and overall eye health.
- Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia, and glaucoma.
- Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses) tailored to patients' needs and lifestyle.
- Provide expert advice on eye care, including preventive measures and treatment options for various ocular conditions.
- Collaborate with optical retail staff to ensure seamless patient experiences, from consultation to product selection.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in optometry, including new technologies, treatments, and industry best practices.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optometry from an accredited institution.
- Valid optometry license and registration to practice in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in optometry, preferably in a retail or private practice setting.
- Proficiency in using optometric equipment, including autorefractors, slit lamps, and tonometry devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the field of optometry.
