Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
- Lead, train, and mentor junior baristas (for Head Barista role) to maintain service standards and coffee quality.
- Manage inventory, track stock levels, and ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and well-maintained.
- Develop and suggest new menu items, seasonal specials, or coffee pairings to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including taking orders, handling payments, and addressing inquiries with professionalism.
- Monitor and maintain hygiene, safety, and food handling standards in compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
- Represent the brand at local events or coffee tastings to promote the café’s offerings and build community engagement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Barista in a high-volume café, specialty coffee shop, or luxury hospitality setting.
- Proven expertise in espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art, and manual brewing methods (V60, Chemex, AeroPress, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and flavor notes to educate customers and staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills and teamwork orientation (required for Head Barista role).
- Certification in barista training, food safety, or coffee competitions is highly advantageous.
- Passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing practices in the coffee industry.
