Responsibility
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, stack, and organize containers efficiently.
- Inspect equipment before use to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow depot protocols for loading, unloading, and transporting containers.
- Optimize storage space to maximize capacity and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate records of container movements and inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth depot operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and report any hazards or incidents immediately.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a depot or warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of container handling and storage best practices.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to lift and move heavy loads as needed.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (a plus).
