Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.) to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including grinders, espresso machines, and brewers, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries or special requests.
- Educate customers about our coffee offerings, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including restocking supplies and adhering to hygiene standards.
- Handle cash transactions and POS system operations with accuracy and integrity.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting low supplies.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends, techniques, and menu items.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory calculations.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
