Responsibility
- Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, adhering to established recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including grinders, espresso machines, and blenders, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Educate customers on coffee origins, brewing methods, and menu options to enhance their experience.
- Manage inventory of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and notify management of low stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing workspace, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and storage.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
- Upsell additional products, such as pastries, vaping products, or merchandise, to increase sales.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Barista in a café, coffee shop, or similar establishment.
- Proficient in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and milk steaming/frothing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of hygiene, food safety, and workplace cleanliness standards.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for coffee culture and a willingness to stay updated on industry trends.
