Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering inquiries about menu items
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak hours
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately using POS systems
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting supply needs
- Uphold the café’s brand image by delivering consistent service and presentation standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, milk steaming, and latte art
- Excellent customer service and communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory calculations
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (e.g., coffee bags, milk crates)
- Familiarity with POS systems and café equipment is advantageous
- Passion for coffee culture and a willingness to stay updated on industry trends
