Responsibility
- Craft Exceptional Coffee: Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and speed.
- Engage with Customers: Build rapport with guests, provide personalized recommendations, and create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances their café experience.
- Maintain Café Standards: Uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and operational excellence in all areas, including the coffee station, dining space, and equipment.
- Operate POS Systems: Handle cash, card, and digital payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy in transactions and inventory tracking.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with kitchen staff, managers, and fellow baristas to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Innovate & Improve: Contribute ideas for new menu items, promotions, or process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and café performance.
- Train & Mentor: Assist in onboarding and training new team members, sharing your expertise to maintain high service standards.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow food safety and workplace safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for staff and customers.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum 1 year of barista experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting (experience in high-volume environments is a plus).
- Coffee Knowledge: Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, and coffee brewing techniques (knowledge of specialty coffee is highly desirable).
- Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to engage with diverse customers in a professional and personable manner.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, especially during peak hours.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods, lifting up to 10kg, and multitasking in a dynamic setting.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for presentation, consistency, and quality in every cup served.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable handling cash, calculating change, and managing transactions accurately.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
