Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso, pour-over, cold brew, and specialty drinks, adhering to Iris Bakehouse’s standards of excellence.
- Engage with customers warmly and professionally, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a memorable experience.
- Master latte art and presentation to enhance the visual appeal of every drink.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, equipment, and bar area in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing methods, and industry best practices to continuously improve your craft.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Barista in a high-volume café or specialty coffee shop.
- Proven expertise in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee origins, roasting profiles, and brewing techniques.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and consistency.
- Creative flair for latte art and drink presentation (portfolio or examples may be requested).
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
