Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, ensuring optimal performance and cleanliness.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and report shortages to the management team.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and preparation of ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and new menu items to provide guests with innovative and exciting options.
- Assist in training new baristas and team members on coffee preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Barista or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume café or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and espresso extraction techniques.
- Familiarity with coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and manual brewing tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English is a plus; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin, Russian) are highly desirable.
