Responsibility
- Prepare and serve high-quality hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty coffee blends, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, while adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, answering questions, and creating a welcoming café atmosphere.
- Manage cash transactions, process orders efficiently, and handle point-of-sale (POS) systems with accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and report stock needs to the management team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café workspace, including counters, equipment, and dining areas, in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and introduce new menu items, promotions, or seasonal specials to enhance customer experience.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on coffee trends, brewing techniques, and customer service best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within a café, coffee shop, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and milk frothing techniques.
- Familiarity with coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and manual brewing tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders accurately.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn and grow within the specialty coffee industry.
