Responsibility
- Prepare and verify export-import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading (B/L), certificates of origin (COO), and other regulatory paperwork.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure timely and compliant shipment clearance.
- Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination, resolving any discrepancies or delays proactively.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., finance, procurement, warehouse) to align documentation with operational and financial requirements.
- Stay updated on international trade regulations, tariffs, and compliance standards to mitigate risks and avoid penalties.
- Maintain accurate records of all EXIM transactions, filings, and correspondence for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Assist in resolving customs-related issues, including inspections, duties, and tax exemptions where applicable.
- Support the development of process improvements to enhance efficiency in export-import operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in export-import operations, customs clearance, or logistics coordination.
- Proficiency in EXIM documentation and familiarity with Indonesian customs regulations (e.g., INSW, BCEW).
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with ERP or logistics software is a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing shipment challenges.
