The National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Executive / Senior Executive in Sponsored Research to join our team in Bali, Indonesia. Responsibility
- Manage the full lifecycle of research grant applications, from proposal submission to award acceptance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with principal investigators, finance teams, and external funding bodies to facilitate smooth grant administration.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with university policies, sponsor requirements, and local/regional regulations.
- Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and expenditure tracking for sponsored projects.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in grant management workflows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for researchers and departments on grant-related inquiries and issue resolution.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for faculty and staff on grant application procedures and compliance best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding opportunities, trends, and regulatory changes in the research landscape.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in research administration, grant management, or a similar role in an academic or R&D environment.
- Strong understanding of pre- and post-award processes, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, funding agencies, and senior leadership.
- Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to grant management practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with grant management software (e.g., Cayuse, Kuali) is advantageous.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with international research funding (e.g., government, private foundations) is a strong asset.
