Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to identify cost-effective suppliers and vendors for materials, services, and logistics.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to assess reliability, financial stability, and compliance with company policies.
- Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to ensure timely procurement and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Legal) to align procurement activities with budgetary and operational requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions to address delays, quality issues, or non-compliance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and stakeholder reviews.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in retail or manufacturing.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, ERP systems) and procurement software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of local and international procurement regulations, ethical sourcing, and sustainability practices.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are a plus.
