Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and refine menus that align with seasonal ingredients, local flavors, and international culinary trends.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards in all kitchen operations.
- Oversee inventory management, supplier negotiations, and cost control to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and consistent guest satisfaction.
- Train and upskill staff in advanced culinary techniques, presentation standards, and efficiency best practices.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring a safe and functional workspace.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate innovative cooking methods and sustainable practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in high-end restaurants, resorts, or hotels.
- Proven track record in menu engineering, cost management, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of Indonesian, Asian, and international cuisines, with a creative approach to fusion dishes.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP, and sanitation protocols.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a plus.
- Degree or certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience preferred.
