Responsibility
- Develop and execute innovative, high-quality menus that align with guest expectations and brand standards.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Enforce strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Manage food cost, inventory, and supplier relationships to optimize kitchen profitability and minimize waste.
- Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, creativity, and professional growth.
- Collaborate with F&B management to forecast demand, plan budgets, and achieve financial targets.
- Stay ahead of culinary trends and incorporate sustainable practices into menu development.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve any culinary-related issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a luxury hotel, resort, or fine-dining restaurant.
- Proven expertise in Indonesian and international cuisine, with a passion for innovation and authenticity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse culinary team.
- In-depth knowledge of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen profitability.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working in Bali or Southeast Asia is a strong advantage.
