Responsibility

  • Develop and refine high-quality, innovative menus that align with seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse kitchen team, fostering a culture of creativity, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and inventory management.
  • Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and food handling standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to optimize costs, reduce waste, and maintain profitability.
  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into the restaurant’s offerings.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve kitchen-related issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., Head Chef, Sous Chef).
  • Proven expertise in international cuisines, with a passion for fusion or local Balinese flavors.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and train staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for presentation and detail.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is advantageous.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
