Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor environmental management systems (EMS) to ensure compliance with Indonesian and international regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, AMDAL).
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and risk analyses for new and existing projects, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate adverse effects.
- Design and oversee waste management programs, including hazardous waste disposal, recycling initiatives, and pollution control measures.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize resource usage, reduce emissions, and improve energy efficiency across project sites.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies (e.g., KLHK, local environmental agencies).
- Lead environmental audits and inspections, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Engage with local communities, NGOs, and government stakeholders to foster transparency and address environmental concerns.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental technologies, regulations, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering, preferably in the mining, metallurgy, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian environmental laws (e.g., UU No. 32/2009, PP No. 22/2021) and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001, World Bank EHS Guidelines).
- Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIA), audits, and compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in environmental monitoring tools and software (e.g., GIS, air/water quality modeling, LCA tools).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Certifications such as AMDAL Competency Certificate (SKA) or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are highly desirable.
