Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor pollution control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular environmental audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of pollution control equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and facility management teams to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations.
- Prepare and submit accurate environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory authorities.
- Train and educate employees on environmental best practices, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Investigate and resolve environmental incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental laws, technologies, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance, pollution control, or a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian environmental regulations (e.g., PP No. 22/2021, Government Regulation on Waste Management) and international standards (ISO 14001).
- Proven experience in conducting environmental impact assessments (EIA) and managing wastewater, air, and solid waste treatment systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Certification in Environmental Management Systems (EMS) or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in MS Office, environmental modeling software, and data analysis tools.
