Responsibility
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and execute payments to vendors via bank transfers, checks, or other payment methods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure smooth payment processes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounts payable processes and improve efficiency.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for accounts payable transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing one).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required.
