Responsibility
- Deliver I Can Read’s structured literacy courses to children aged 2.5–12, adapting lessons to individual learning styles.
- Teach pre-reading skills, phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension using interactive, child-centered techniques.
- Assess student progress through observations and standardized tools, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and builds confidence.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to develop lesson plans and share best practices for early literacy development.
- Organize and lead reading workshops, storytelling sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and developmental milestones.
- Stay updated on modern pedagogical approaches in early childhood education and literacy instruction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field (TEFL/TESOL certification is a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with young learners or in ESL/EFL settings.
- Native or fluent English proficiency with clear pronunciation and strong communication skills.
- Passion for early childhood education and a patient, empathetic approach to teaching.
- Familiarity with phonics-based teaching methods and literacy development frameworks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural team.
- Valid work permit or eligibility to work in Indonesia (sponsorship may be available for exceptional candidates).
- Experience with classroom management and differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs.
