Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of retail facilities to identify and address potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical and mechanical failures, ensuring swift resolution to maintain business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and new installations.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Prepare and present reports on engineering activities, budget utilization, and project progress to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) is required.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in a supervisory role within the engineering or maintenance sector, preferably in retail or commercial environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design, analysis, and project management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
