Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operations of engineering and facility services, ensuring all systems are functional and compliant with healthcare standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, renovations, and installations.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to facility management, safety, and environmental standards.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, with swift and effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in engineering or facility management, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle high-pressure situations with composure.
- Proficiency in using facility management software and tools for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
