Responsibility
- Design, install, and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems for marine applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panels to ensure intuitive operator control.
- Calibrate and test sensors, actuators, and control panels for navigation and vessel automation.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation systems to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new automation technologies into existing marine systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation-related issues in compliance with maritime safety standards.
- Document technical specifications, schematics, and maintenance logs for all automation components.
- Provide training and support to crew members on the operation of automated systems.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in the marine or shipbuilding industry.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Mitsubishi) and HMI development.
- Strong knowledge of sensor integration, control systems, and marine navigation technology.
- Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 standards and maritime automation protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-stakes environments.
- Willingness to work on-site in Denpasar, Bali with occasional travel to other shipyard locations.
